I think the important thing to take back from this is that @ 2500RPM, you've already got 150#s of TQ, and 500RPMs later, you're @ 200#s!!!

Not sure what "lag" and "lack of response due to the turbo" that others are talking about but the AVO kit certainly doesn't suffer from ANY of that BS talk from people who have no clue or experience with this kit first hand.

Cheers!

Can you possibly overlay the twinscrew setup from kioton onto your previous graph of between avo and vortech?

my gtx28 spools nearly instantly on this motor, I can't imagine how quick the avo spool must be. It looks nice judging from the dyno! I'd bet that it makes more torque 2500 rpm to redline than any of the supercharger kits on the market.

The common SC contenders right now make about 150#s @ PEAK, with TQ dropping before 6500 rpm. The AVO kit at the same boost makes at least 150#s TQ @ 2500 and holds more (up to 220#s of TQ) and holds it till redline, which is still higher than the peak torque of any of the SC kits out there right now, with the same amount of boost.

Not sure why there's sooo much hype about one of the kits, but if I had to guess, it would be because vendors are pushing it due to the HIGH margins they're probably getting?

My 2 cents!

What qualifies for the stage 1.5? Is it just bolt on(s)? This is the exact amount of power I'm looking for. @Drift-Office, can you pm me price of install+ecu license/cable+tune without the AVO turbo?
I'll likely pick up a FI kit in 4-5 months and this is on the top of the list.

AVO

Honestly its between AVO and Innovate for me at this point. Just waiting to see if there's more track data in hotter temps (>110 degree F like in Cali deserts...), but I haven't really seen any from AVO while Innovate seems to be kicking butt according to @robispec at Willow Springs.

My setup is w/ turbo, EcuTek, avo overpipe, catless test pipe and HKS legamax exhaust (which hasn't shown signs of cracking like the hi-power btw). I'm extremely pleased with this level of horse power, and the torque increase = big grin.

Not sure about Cali but when I was @ 86 EXPO in 115 degree heat and gave out back to back test drives for 2 hours in the late afternoon before the cruise started, there was no overheating issue, and this is with the AC on at times too!

Ross has taken his car in Japan for several endurance track events... didn't miss a beat and we're talking hours on the track...

Isn't the Innovate setup Robbi runs non-intercooled with E85 and his upgraded radiator / cooler? So with the cooling properties and knock suppression qualities of E85, plus an aftermarket radiator / cooler setup... Hmmm. Anyway, I'll have one here soon enough to do a direct 1:1 comparison! Stay Tuned!

Cheers!

Yes! I would love to see how it turns out. That's my number 2 (due to price).

That's pretty much a stage 1 kit, but with full 2.5" exhaust. So $4400 msrp for the kit + exhaust of choice.

How's the temp of the tranny been? Normal levels mostly and no need for a tranny oil cooler?
