I can tell you from painful experience that the worst is getting hit and then run over by other competitors. Seven broken ribs, 3 more fractured, broken pelvis, fractured left lateral fan, chipped right hip plus multiple internal injuries. It was the slowest crash I ever had. I stopped racing motorcycles at the end of that season. I realized I wasn't as quick as I had been and never would be again.

Yea my newly painted car that can't be washed for a month already has a complete coat of green over it. Hopefully just spraying it off will work.

Great, now I fractured a rib just reading this one.....

Only broken bone I've had from riding wasn't a motorcycle be a Polaris Scrambler 500 quad. Hit a log at 30MPH went over the handlebars and landed on my shoulder cracking my collar bone. Nothing like what you had though. I rode for another hour before I realized it wasn't getting better.

Oof! I hate that paint curing time. Especially in the winter/spring.

I know it’ll be fine washing after a month… but knowing doesn’t help my high anxiety lol

I'm lucky I was too big to race bikes when I had the passion for it. I got over it when I realized I was never going to be competitive.

I really hate presenting virtually. There is a distinct lack of real-time feedback. No idea if eyes are transfixed, rolling, or glazed over.

If you were ever competitive you had one on me. I was never going to win an 8 lap sprint race. Not a problem, really, I enjoyed the hell out of endurance racing. I could run lap after lap a couple of seconds slower than the hotshoes, didn’t crash, and was easy on tires. While they changed tires, we kept rolling. What we won, we won in the pits (and by staying out of them).

The only times I did crash were in practice for sprint races. I knew better but…

Never highsided or endoed. Every time it was from losing the front. After several seasons, my job vanished and my racing career with it. After that it was just “the older I got, the better I was.” That is much less expensive and less painful.

Two kinds of bike riders. Those that have gone down, and those who will.
