Not sure. Everything should be under load from the springs with it released.

For me the hate has to go to the fuel pump chirps, the random cabin rattles that seem to be impossible to track down, and the 3rd brake light protruding into my rear view. That said, they're all minor things, and so I'd say "hate" would be a strong word for them. Still love driving it every day.

I haven’t ever thought about the third brake light blocking visibility, until now. Thanks guys! But seriously, the visibility is pretty good out of the twins despite being a small and flat car. There is just that small blind spot which is easy enough to do a quick head turn to avoid. That just made me think it would be nice to have blind spot monitoring on the 2nd gen. It’s one of my biggest car pet peeves. If there isn’t a fu**ing door frame don’t close the door by its window! I’ve had several cars with frameless doors also. It wasn’t too bad with my WRX because the doors were so light. My Camaro had heavy a$$ doors and I would cringe every time I would see someone close an F Body door by its window. If you want to send your car OCD into hyperdrive, watch an episode of Knight Rider, he closes the door with the window every damn time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

tbh, dont know what this guy is talking about but here it is:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ft86/commen...leans/fmdjhv5/ i guess you're just drilling out the plastic stands that the light sits on top of? which allows you to push the light further down. er something. have not tried or even seen what he's talking about myself. |

Worst things about the car for a daily driver are definitely the door checks and for those of us without backup cameras, rear visibility at night is terrible for parallel parking. reverse lights barely light anything up due to how low they are.

Replace the reverse lights with some brighter LEDs and/or install a back up camera
