CF6 FRS

For those who have been following my build,...do to the cat injestation into my turbo I'm going with a Garrett GTX2867R turbo now,..along with that I'm upgrading the fuel system converting from OEM returnless fuel system to a return system utilizing Full Blown fuel rails (I guess I'm the first to try these out), Full Blown fuel pressure regulator, and custom lines. Combined with the forged Arias pistons 9 to 1 compression,..Pauter rods/stage 3 block the outcome should be interesting with E85. May have to go with a surge tank,....we shall see....oh yah,...catless now.

I'm glad to see this. Any larger of turbo will lack track mannerisms on this platform.

Do you really need half those supporting mods to max out the GTX28??? Sounds like you're shooting for 700whp with a ~400whp turbo?

You can easily run 400whp on e85 and stock internals. Higher compression means less boost is needed, less boost = less heat.

Yes you need these mods, fuel system wise, once you reach about 15 psi and above ,( key word is about) cause it goes way lean. My car is built for reliable track use,...trust me 400whp+ is more than enough on this platform, actually to much unless you are planning only for straight line drag racing or drifting. Higher compression with boost on cast components and stock head bolts (at least to me).... is asking for trouble.

Oh your car is going to be tracked ! Then the 28 is perfect, but for a person who's going to build it for straight lines like me a bigger turbo I much needed

Why 9:1 though, if you're tracking it just get forged pistons with closer to stock C/R and beefier rods? You'll get way better throttle response with 12.5:1 than with 9:1 and will need much less boost to make the same power.

gtx2867r is perfect for this application. too many people chase numbers, with little concern for the actual performance associated with those numbers. response, area under the curve, dd/track driveability, are all more important than that last 50whp.

GTX35... I'd want to take advantage of that lower compression and should for earth-shattering numbers. My gt28 made 460whp SAE maxed out.

Totally understand,...I would like to see at what point this engine says uncle,... torque/horsepower wise.
