Sure, that is a rational, measured response but my emotional irrational response is f**k, I'm a weight nazi and that's heavier than a carbon fibre/titanium version.

Yeah, yeah, I know, because compromise.

Then it's a good thing ACE confirmed the weight for us at 33lbs instead of 43lbs. Lol

Weight weight weight, then again, we've seen people proclaim smrt weight savings using an aluminum exhaust. That was gold. Carbon fiber exhausts...oh man...nobody cares about resins anyways.

Confucius say a strong dump session before a track session nets a 2lb savings and a calmer mind.

The reason we haven't answered the weight question yet is because it's heavy. Really heavy.

The early versions were like Maxime said, in the ultra-light category. However, in order to deaden sound without packing material, we had to use thicker-walled stainless.

After all the hangers, gaskets and hardware were measured- the muffler comes in at a gargantuan 11kg's

Let the blasting begin...
Any idea how much the muffler delete version weighs?

Question on installation of the Laguna 90 Catback exhaust system:

Does it fit both the 2013 - 2016 FT86 (pre-facelift) and 2017+ (post-facelift)?

It sounds absolutely amazing.

Couldn't stand waiting for the turn signal conversion. Installed the cat-back today. Mrs. Ultra was excited to ride along for first impressions.

On my car for the time being, everything upstream is bone stock.

We could tell immediately upon startup that this is the one. Nevermind cold start. We all know that sounds like shit, ...or does it? My wife turned to me and said "It sounds beefier."

It does sound beefier. There's a distinct bump in the bottom end but I wouldn't call it drone at all. Warmed up to normal operating temp standing behind the car as it idled, we could clearly feel each cylinder firing. This exhaust really does breathe freely.

It's a dream to drive with it. It finally sounds like a real sports car! It has a crisp, tight note in the cabin but is actually quieter than stock. What is truly amazing is how it behaves from 4.5 Krpm up to redline. The muffler is clearly tuned for maximum noise cancellation in the meat of the powerband. The "waaaa" sound of coming on to the pipe is completely eliminated.

I mean COMPLETELY. It has turned what used to be a muddy yet harsh tone into a beautifully composed musical experience.

Bravo, ACE! Bravo.

And a sincere thanks for delivering this product. It's a blessing.

Thanks for the review!

I would love to see what the final product looks like installed. Any chance you would post a pic or two?

Bring on the flame throwers but I swear on my 40+ years of driving experience and skepticism, there's more torque there.

No, I'm not going to dyno it. I don't care that much but...

I forget where I watched/read it, but someone mentioned they drove faster in cars with a quiet exhaust because you can get on the throttle more without causing such a racket.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. I'm always carefully feeling out response as I modulate the throttle. I can feel the difference between cold, crisp air and hot.

I drive the same exact boring route every day. I know every zit on the road. I'm not talking about WOT pulls here. It does climb to redline much more gracefully but it also responds to little pokes more eagerly. I've had to adjust my technique.

The difference in sound is subtle. The extra oomph is subtle too, but it's there.

Maybe it's the weight.

Gotta drop a sack of potatoes in the trunk and go for another drive.
