FRS, Lost key and keyless entry module

Hi All, I have recently imported a FRS from the States, which was sold in a Co Part salvage auction without a key and keyless entry module.
It currently has no reg number until I get it repaired and put it through the LVI test. The chassis no is no use at my UK Toyota dealer.
I have tried the Internet re help from people who claim to be able to replace the key etc., without success...
Any body experienced the same problem ???

Roger.

Hmmm,
that might get messy.

The ECU/immobilizer module/keys fob's/dash instrument cluster are a security set. ie you cannot just swap out any one item you need to do the lot if you don't have the fancy dealer software (not just techstream). If you loose all the keys fobs its also a drama.

I think the dealer can re-code individual items, but your dealing with an overseas model. and I think the dealers have to get security codes from a third party or something weird.

The ECU's are also different in different countries and run different firmware.

might have to import a set from the usa from same model and same transmission ie auto/man. I got quoted $500 aussie for ecu/imobiliser/dash and keys from wreckers.

Contact Toyota of North America with the VIN and purchase documents to request a coded key.
