Abs and traction light activating on hard turn
Hi group. Hoping you can help me out. I recently just added a new front and rear sway bar, front ends links and rear lower control arms. As soon as I got done with it the abs and tcs light activate when going around curves mainly going over 50 mph. I didn’t like the feel of the rear sway bar and removed that but the car does seem to still activate the abs and tcs when driving. Could I have done something to an abs sensor? I also have 17 BRZ and I did have to disconnect the hi low level sensor to replace the lca’s. Could that have caused the issue too? Thanks for any help guys.

alignment?
My traction control and ABS lights stay lit after I just did my coilover & LCA install. Then I read the link below and I'm thinking it might be the alignment. I'm taking it to the shop next week. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128822 |

Rear lower control arms -> did you get an alignment? I bet your alignment is way off.

Sorry I forgot to add information. I had my car aligned the next day. The one issue they had with the alignment is the toe for the rear. It’s at -1 degree on each side. I’ll aoon be getting adjustable toe arms. So couple that be the issue? The curves are any curvy highway or back road where I can take the curve around 55 mph. There was never an issue before the installs. Tire pressure is good and don’t think any tire is lifting. It never was before. Thanks group

This may be from a wheel lifting if you've made the suspension too tight. I don't see how you could 3 wheel if there's no bump or change in slope between L/R that only affects one side before the other.
This happens in my car when I pull onto the main road. There's a severe change in grade, so the left wheel climbs the grade but the right wheel hasn't met it, and lifts off the ground. TC comes on if I don't have it disabled every time. |

You could try to see if this black/white wire is damaged (wheel speed sensor) |

Not performed alignment after suspension install work & -1 degree toe-out rear each side most probable culprit. Toe-in stabilizes that car end where it is, toe-out - does opposite. And whole degree is 10x more then there should be, for toe.
Toe is like presteered wheel to/from centerline. When in turn you lean more on outside tire, and it is pre-steered out, of course that end will try to rotate more. |

Thanks for the input. It’s at 1 degree on each side. I do have some adjustable toe ends coming. To correct. The car is lowered about 1.5 inches in the front and back on coil overs. I’m beginning to think the toe might be the culprit. I’ll have to see after I can get those one and get the adjustment again.

1 degree toe is a LOT. After all, it's adjustment usually is about 0.00-0.20 max, more often just about 0.1 of degree (where camber tenfold difference of 0.5-1 degree one might not even felt if not pushing it a lot). And if toe is off by such large extent, obviously it's impact on handling will be that much greater, either car end not willing to turn much if toe-in, or very zealous to push that end out. And of course lot of toe-wear, as with high toe (no matter in or out) wheels are presteered all the time and are dragged slightly sideways even when going in straight line.
Moral of story: if you change suspension parts or their settings do proper alignment afterwards. Nothing wrong with car, just one important work not yet done. |

Got a pic of the alignment sheet? And is it a performance alignment shop or just your local chain? |
