Dropped my car off on Saturday. The dealership called today to let me know they thought the problem could be fixed with just an ECU flash. Toyota is sending the software out today - the dealership is expecting I can get the car back by tomorrow at the latest.

For those that are interested, it looks like the wait for an ECU flash from Toyota is 1-3 business days. Fingers crossed.

On a side note anyone else notice any small circles or smears under the clear coat? I have 2 tiny one on the right rear quarter panel they are now going to pull they car in under the paint warranty and re paint the rear. Mind you these are small they look like fish scales only a few. Also under heavy acceleration with the AC on full (yes using the recirculate ) I notice the normal crisp dry cold air becomes moist and not as cold. Sorry for the crap description but didn't know how to describe. The dealer told me the AC thing is normal, however, I don't believe them.

Mine 6024xx, so far no problem with 600 miles in 1 month, but mentally ready if this hit me one day.

On a lot of cars, the A/C will disengage under heavy/full throttle. I'd be surprised if the FR-S was any different.

Add me to the list

Add me to the list. BRZ (6027xx) with 2,560 miles.
CEL + SL came up one morning. SL went away after a couple of miles. CEL stayed. hardly any power between 2-4K RPM, idle dip.
At dealer since 9/27.

I'm told they ordered new ECU + cam sprocket, both off the assembly line to speed things up. 1 to 2 weeks is the initial estimate... Not holding my breath on this one.

Go ahead and add me to the list.

Le86, FR-S - 988 Miles, 7094XX, WA.

Just dropped it off at the dealership for idle/misfire issue, CEL, SL, and tail light condensation.

This looks like the highest VIN number yet.... not a good sign about the assembly line.

That's exactly what I was just thinking. The worst part is the tail light, something that was supposedly fixed on the production line months ago!

I know right? I've lurked on this forum for quite a while before actually creating an account and had read ALL about these issues people have had so these things didn't exactly take me by surprise either. I'm just disappointed to say the least.

I'm surprised about the tail light condensation too for VIN 94xx.
I'm starting to wonder if the VIN higher than 9026 still has engine chirping noise...
