What happens if in the winter, the power window freezes? Seems to me that you won't be able to get in the car then! If you wash it in the winter, maybe leave the windows down an inch after so they don't freeze... Imagine not being able to get out of the car because the window can't go down.

I wonder if this car was even winter tested at all?

Ahahahaha I use to have a 91 celica gts and it happened to me a few times I has to open the trunk and climb through

I'm pretty sure they have winter tested this car, it would be a big fail if they didn't. Japan has winters just like we do.

My xB windows froze shut a few times last winter. It was a common flaw for that model.
I will do the same as I did for the xB, spray silicone lubricant on a cloth and wipe it down on the rubber door and window seals. I have never had issues in the past with other cars with frameless side windows.

The door will open but if it does freeze I think you will risk tearing the seal. No idea on a price for that but at least you wont get trapped in your car? lol I like the idea of silicone lube on the seal sounds like a good plan. Someone told me WD-40 works also?

drove my subaru RS (2001) for 3 years in the winter, parked every day outside any kind of snowstorm, never had an issue with the window sticking

didn't even take any precautions, cut it's never METAL sticking to the rubber, just glass.

1. get a bucket
2. go to bath tub
3. fill with steaming hot water
4. pour dat on the car
5. no need to scrape ice or ANYTHING anymore.

Ecept that that water you just poured will freeze to a solid layer of ice in less than a minute, and that ice is SMOOTH so threre's no way in hell you're going to be able to scrape it. Yes, I have done this. Once...

no, if its steaming hot, pour it on, get in ur car and turn those windsheild wipers on.

sure it'll freeze other parts but now you dont need to get ur windsheild wipers unstuck; and your window(s) will be clear.

we're talking about the door windows freezing shut, not the windshield.
