Yup - that's easiest route - probably about E40-E45. Will give pretty significant gains none the less, with the added bonus of not taking a big hit on fuel economy that you would on E85.

Hi Guys,

Anymore news about the tune?
Hows it going? are we still making progress?
And any news about availability?

Hey Ds3ire, the tune for a stock 86 on 95 octane fuel is DONE as well as for a 86 BRZ with a 63mm catless exhaust from the overpipe-back

It has taken a lot of time, testing and many tanks of fuel to get to the point where we are happy with the tune.

Tune for intake, headers and E50 coming next....

Thats great news!
Im guessing that you will dyno and get performance graphs when the next tune is complete...
Let me know if you need a test mule... i ll be willing to volunteer (nervously)

REULTS

Right guys, the results are in!

All runs were done on straight 95 pump fuel NO octane booster or any other additives.
Not a single bit of timing was pulled on these tuned maps - that was the main aim for them. Optimization for our 95 octane fuel for 100% safety and smoothness with the added benefit of launch control and flat foot shifting.

Thanks to the dyno graphs we can see one or two spots for improvement which will be sorted out as well as about 3kw or so which can be found.

Stock BRZ: 95 tuned map VS Stock Map

Stock BRZ with AFE drop in panel filter: 95 tuned AFE map VS Stock MAP

*Outside temp 25 degrees Celsius. All runs done within 10min of each other.

95 octane fuel is NOT for making power..."Power" E50 maps to come.

Tried one of Dammod's tunes on Tuesday and did a 14.6 1/4 mile. Only managed to get in 3 runs. I'm positive I could've gone lower once I manage to hook up a better launch.

Thanx Dammod. Car feels smoother, engine runs a bit quieter and feels stronger through the gears.

Dammod, out of interest what fuel were you using while tuning and logging?

Been monitoring mine and it's not pulling timing at all. Using Sasol 95.

Hi Sav,
Every 86 or BRZ we have plugged into goes down to a IAM of 0.35, all with different fuels. Thats a lot of det and timing being pulled

What are you using to monitor and which parameter are you monitoring?

Ah that might explain it - monitoring timing advance via Torque Pro.

Yep that does explain it.

Does Torque Pro show "IAM" (ignition advance multiplier) ?
