Marcel took the 86 to Tarlton a week or so ago. Asked him to do runs with TC on, off completely and sport. Best times came in with Sport mode on and drop clutch around 5500rpm. Best time was 15.08 with an average launch. He needs more time in seat.

Carefully looking at the setup ..... wheels spin in 1st, 2nd and even 3rd. OK, still on std 215 rubber and those Michellins are harder compound than I like.

Plan is to go to 235 in future and let him loose again. Will also run with Octane booster a tank earlier next time around.

Altitude was Jhb and temp around 21C

Sorry to bring up this thread again.

I remember reading in and article somewhere that you can have the rgm kit fitted as an option when you order from Subaru SA. Not sure if I read here or somewhere else that the motor plan still stays in place, as the article and logic say otherwise.

Hey man. Not sure about this. I guess it will be best to phone rgm/subaru themselves! Would be great though!

Hello guys! Not really an update, but nothing new on the car. The 86 is basically sitting in the garage like a white elephant. If my Dad drove it twice in 5 months then it was a lot.

To be honest, i dont think my Dad enjoys the car so much anymore. Ride is very firm, car is low and he struggles to get in & out....and he doesnt really attend any events so its quite pointless having such car imho.

The car has less than 5k km on the clock and is already plus/minus 2 years old.

So ya...i think he is contemplating of selling it.

Cheers, have a good one

Yeah sad that it is just sitting. Better to sell it to someone that will actually use it.

I think my Dad might look at 350k..maybe less...not sure on 2013 Toyota 86 resale values. My Dad will most likely take a 50% knock with the whole RGM conversion.
