The SW update has 2 upgrades
Stop the idle dip
Something to do with the injectors

I certainly found an improvement in the pull through the revs between 2000 and 4000 rpm, however I would still like to dyno to verify this.
I am sure the guys on the coast will notice the upgrade more than the inland guys.

Just spoke to Toyota Durban South. Same thing, no upgrade that they are aware of?

Try a different dealer? Just ask for the software update or new calibration.

I'm assuming that if your car had a problem then you'd feel a difference, mine never had this "power band" effect.

I'm going to ask my local dealer about this upgrade cause I want it.

I've got a new'ish car (Jan 13 build) and it's got a substantial torque slump between 3500 and 5000 rpm, which (sort of) fits my schitzo personality - either cool puttering around under 3500 rpm, or the other "me" that's in my second childhood and loves the redline. But I'd rather not have the flat spot.

The flat spot is maybe even more in my face because my daily driver is a turbo Forester, and it pulls like a train from 3000 rpm and I don't have go down 3 cogs to get some action...

We're ADM
I think most cars we get here would be eudm. But interestingly it's just called the 86 here which as fr as I know is JDM?
