I'll try and reset my ECU, haven't used Engen fuel, I always fill up with Shell, I'll give the resetting the ECU a go and then report back on the matter. Thanks

When was your car built? If built after 21st Jan 2013, then no problem, it should already have the latest software loaded - see post #88 in this thread.

Otherwise, if you haven't been hearing loud "popping" (indicative of direct injector failure) then I would be very reluctant to let them strip anything. Just get the software up to date and you should be fine IMO.

Edited to add: Some reading matter http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36129 and http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38397

I've "heard" the new Shell isn't as good as the old Shell. I personally use Engen (closest to home and used same station for years) and I have the SW update. Mine rarely dips but I won't say it doesn't happen as I have noticed it slightly - more so when warm with A/C on.

I'm in agreement - if it ain't broke don't fix it. If you begin hearing that pop or experiencing any of those symptoms - then make a plan.

my dipping has also come back although not as bad as before. It does indeed seem to be related to the AC though, if i switch it off the engine idles much more smoothly..
