Yea, they say over watering and over fertilizing can cause cracking, but I think a lot of the beefsteak and heirloom varieties have a propensity to split. Good thing is they are still ok to eat.

Great for BLTs

You know what is REALLY good on a BLT? PEANUTBUTTER! Don’t knock it until you try it.
If you’re out at a restaurant and they won’t put peanut butter on their BLT for you ask for your favorite salad dressing. Think about it, a tossed salad is just a deconstructed BLT. There are tomato pieces, lettuce, bacon bits and crotons.

One reason why you want more than one plant. Even if I only get a couple great slices off of each tomato, no problem.

I like it on spongy white bread with jelly, and a big glass of milk.

All this peanut butter talk reminds me of an experience I had back in the 1960s.

I was doing some pesticide research with a University of California research assistant in the Sacramento River Delta.

He took me to a restaurant and bar named "Al the Wops" in Locke, CA.

The only thing on the menu to eat was steak (small, medium or large). The only condiment on the table was peanut butter. MY associate said don't even think about asking for anything else, because they won't bring it to you.

So, I slathered my steak with a thick layer of peanut butter and chowed down. That was one of the best steaks that I have ever eaten.

Couldn't you just eat your steak without peanut butter, or was there some local law at the Delta in the 60's?

I bet they had whisky to wash down that peanut butter.

Does it matter? If it tastes good, or especially if it tastes good AND interesting. I wish those adventurous flavoUrs were sold in the U.S. I'd be the target market.

Not quite, Cheese toastie with baked beans.. I never seen a cheese toastie with beans.. Cheese toastie, yes but with beans in the mix, no.. when I grabbed the pack, my wife just screwed up her nose..

I am expecting further strange mixes from Walkers as we are nearly upon the "silly" season..
