Front Pad recommendation?

So later this month, I have my second track day; my first track day, I was on stock pads and fluid and am going to be upgrading both of those for my next. So when I bought the car, I noticed that my rear pads were Project MU Club racers that I took off and put stock ones on just for daily driving. Now I know that they are trackpads, so I plan to put them back on in the rear for the next track day and was wondering what pads should I throw on up front that would pair well with those that are in the same price range since those pads were discontinued. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

PMu Club Racers are still sold. I say avoid the guess work and stick to the same compound front and rear.

You might need to search for the Club Racer "Advance" variation. It's supposed to be a little closer in performance to the 999 pad.

If you're really set on buying a different pad, try to seek one with a similar character. You could probably reach up to the PMu 999. Carbotech xp10/xp12 are also close in performance

I'm in Castro Valley. I have an unused full set of Carbotech to sell. XP10 front, XP8 rear.

Either get an exact match for the fronts or one step up in grade. One thing you never want is the rears gripping stronger than the fronts. It'll make for a pants-wetting track day.

Scroll down to September's posts. There is a good discussion about track pads.

Club Racer would be the best match for the front, but are not available.

999, C2, and CE2 are all in stock at CSG and would potentially work with your Club Racer rear.

EndlessAzure hooked me up with some club racers with some life left. But once those are done I'll PM you. Thanks!

Are you saying the club racer is out of stock or no longer in production? Does that apply for the club racer advanced as well?

Both out of stock and no longer in production for the 86's front. It is still made in select fitments on other platforms.

It's been out of production for like 5 years now.

You'll find better, trust me!

Try the CSG C2

So I had my track day at Laguna Seca yesterday, and it was my first track day with upgraded brake fluid and pads. There were two things that I noticed that were weird.

For one, I was just in VSC sport mode because I'm scared of pedal dance mode and wrecking my daily. With that being said, it felt like every time I was braking, ABS was engaging. But I don't think it was because I wasn't exactly slamming on my brakes as hard as I could in every turn. It was just the same feeling under my foot when braking as ABS turning on. It happened when braking in a straight line, too, for the record, so it couldn't have been stability control, and the light wasn't flashing when I was feeling this.

The next thing was: when I was driving home it felt like my clutch was slipping quite a bit when taking off out of first. Even when I drove my car today, and my transmission was up to temp, I felt it slipping, and my car would vibrate a bunch, and my shifter would shake rapidly. So maybe my clutch is just dying?

Let me know what might be going on or if I am just noted used to trackpads. Thanks

CSG pads, rbf 600 or Castrol brake fluid. trust me if you have a 2013-2016 just do the pedal dance. I Know it sounds scary but the car will be more predictable. On old cars press and hold = sport mode of new cars.

What I said earlier in the thread. I have pmu club racers in the front and rear. Someone sent me the fronts since you can't buy them anymore, they have probably 3-4 track days left in the front and the ones in the rear are practically new still. If you need pictures of the pad life I can send that. And Motul rbf 600 fluid
