That will suck for the dealerships that barely sold any GR86 then...which sucks for me since I don't think the dealership I'm wait listed at sold/focused on GR86s...
I don't even know what to think at this point.

Same here since I'm supposedly #4 on the list.

Come to mention it, looks like there are a few pretty good looking GR Corolla mods already for AC (PC of course.)

Dealership called me early last week to say they were getting an allocation of a black fully loaded Core. I passed since I'm waiting for a Circuit Edition. It's apparently only one of 9 that NC is getting in 2022. Was delivered to it's new owner yesterday.

And yes, dealership was selling at MSRP

Be nice if somebody on here snagged one!

My dealer was one of the first in the area to get an allocation.. unfortunately it's one of the few out there without performance pack! Black with cold weather pack, MSRP.

I won't take this car to the track regardless, and before they announced the price for diffs ($1180) my ideal spec was black or white with cold weather pack only. But for that price, why the hell not get the diffs?

I keep going back and forth about it and that fact alone tells me I should hold out for a car with diffs. Even for how I'll drive it, I think they might make a difference in how it feels.

So just wait for the next one! And there lies the actual complication. The signals I'm getting from the dealer are "it's this or nothing." Apparently there was some drama around keeping me #1 in line which seems to have something to do with it. Like, my guy, getting the right car is much more important. He did mention I could switch over to their CE, likely the next allocation they will get: "if we get an allocation before your car comes" .. which is either a good sign or a veiled NOPE, considering "my" car will be here long before CE allocations start. Need to have a solid chat this week.

Even though I wouldn't be driving the car to really utilize the LSDs, I'd still take a car with the perf pack. That's the min for me. Ideally it would be a non black one with the tech and perf packs, no cold weather package since I rarely ever use heated seats. Barely ever used the ones in my FR-S.

I keep seeing commercials for the GR Corolla with the "Wild Child - Black Keys" background music and it absolutely does not help to ease my need for this car.

Instagram is really throwing that car at me. But then I’m reminded of all the dealership BS. I just want one 😭

I feel like the long lists at the MSRP dealerships (and there are a lot of MSRP dealerships out there) look a lot scarier than they really are. So many people that were sitting 3rd, 5th etc are getting these first cars because people are flaking out when the time comes. Moral of the story, can’t get one if you don’t get on a list, and don’t be too discouraged if you’re down a ways. Time flies anyhow.

I know of a couple guys who flaked out last minute. I was #1 on the list, at one point, but decided I didn't need one because of my Supra.

Talked to my sales guy today said if i put my name down on one now, Ill be on the list for as long as theyre in production. I put in a deposit anyways as time isn't an issue.

Driving home from VA, passing DC right now. I could’ve sworn I saw a Black GR Corolla on the opposite side of the highway. If you’re like me, that pays attention to any car that seems interesting on the road, I knew that wasn’t an ordinary Corolla.

Also it is possible knowing the type of people that live in DC.

Are they even out yet? I have yet to see anything on social media, let alone on around my parts of the states. I did see a new CTR cruising around on Post a week ago.

Be willing to bet that of the first batch delivered something between 20% and 30% will get put away and never see the light of day much less be on the road.
