I was afraid to list the wife's Ducati on kajiji becuase of the all the Kajidiots. I heard FB Marketplace was better but honestly it's as bad, maybe worse. From the scammers and hacks to the noobs and knobs it's like I'm in hell... If I don't answer a PM within minutes of the guy sending it I'm the Stupid HEAD! A person asks a question that is clearly answered in the ad and I tell them that and yep, you guessed it, I'm the Stupid HEAD!

The other night a guy PM's me "Why no stickers on mufflers? They FAKES?"

Oh paleese... tell me there is light at the end of this tunnel. Lie to me if you have to!
I usually word my ads carefully. I usually put in big bold letters, "DO NOT MESSAGE ME AND ASK ME WHAT MY LOWEST PRICE IS OR YOU WILL BE IGNORED." If they are interested, and want to offer lower than asking, show up and show me the cash.

So I sold my MV Agusta and bought a Husqavarna. Funny thing is, it has a Kawasaki V twin engine.
Well full story is I no longer can walk up and down Mt. Poop. Well, that's I call the large hill in my back yard which is our new septic system. So I used some of the money from the sale to get a good lawn tractor.
I still have my 1998 Ducati 900 Supersport Final Edition amd of course the wife's still unsold 2011 Ducati M796.

I just picked up an 05 VFR to fill that hole in my garage that the SV650 and Seca II no longer fill (gave them up during covid).

It needed tires badly so I changed them this weekend.

And some time this week, I'll rebuild the clutch and brake master cylinders so I can get it inspected.

Can't beat a viffer as an all around scoot. Sold a mint 98 for 5 grand but kept the 1200. The 800s are actually smoother.

I've had a car with vtec (08 FA5 Si) but never a bike with vtec. On the test ride, I was scarily surprised when it kicked in

The 1200 is disorienting in 1st and 2nd until you're used to it. I know there are quicker bikes but not by a whole lot.

Good to know!

I bought an ultrasonic cleaner and some master cylinder rebuild kits for the brakes and clutch so here's to hoping the cleaner gets here tomorrow

It doesn't but there's something going on with the brakes and clutch. There's no room for modulation at all. The clutch doesn't have a friction zone, you get to 95% of the way out and it just clicks on like a light switch. The brakes are the opposite where you barely touch them and you could easily 1 finger endo. I'm hoping a rebuild will fix it. The return port that everyone talks about looks pretty darned clear and I was hoping that was the real issue.

simple green specifically for aluminum (D6-17487P) won't turn your aluminum parts grey. If the bath is 55-60C, a 4 to 1 dilution works pretty quick.

Oddly enough I did a 5:1 solution of simple green at 40C. 10 minutes and it looked new
