We're cleaning up (yet again) the debris from our latest "T" storm. El Nino is causing these huge storms which create micro and macro down bursts. We've had three this week alone. We were without power from about 6:45 p.m. on Canada Day July 1 to about 3:00 p.m. July 2.

Here in Central Va we have 103*f with a "Real Feel" of 112*. No storms yet.

Thanks but no thanks; you can keep the 90+ f heat. That's why the wife and I used to go south in the late summer, early fall. We found temperatures were usually good during the day, and if it did get cold you maybe needed a long sleeve shirt or light sweater after dark. Once the US kids are back in school traffic is way less plus, lower motel/hotel rates before or after the fall colour season. Missing major storms is a crap shoot. We’ve been before or after and got caught in a couple, Floyd was first in 1999 and Ivan chased us all the way back to the US/Canada border in 2004.

We had 80's+F for a bit, then last weekend we had 50's and the hardest rain and hail for about 70 minutes that I have ever experienced in my life. None of the weather people saw it coming. Came out of nowhere. Flooding everywhere. It was wild. A day later, 90's.

Completed the display case for my Lego Enterprise D (details here).

The plates were gifted to me about 10 years ago by my youngest son, and I hadn't figured out a good way to display them. I received the Shatner signed jersey this past Christmas.

The LEGO model is over 18" wide so no existing reasonable priced case could hold it. I took a "knock together" garage shelf from TEMU, 3d printed frames for the polycarbonate fronts and sides as well as a top rail. All told, I have less than $350 in it for a 20"x40"x46" display case.

The rest of the shelves are reserved for some other LEGO and Gundam(ish) stuff I have collected over the years and never had time to build.
