We made a podcast.

Shameless self-promotion, and I promise I won't do this often.

As part of our Instagram project "The Apex Files", we've started a new podcast series. Our first season features a line up of experienced drivers, motorsports engineers, and industry experts. We're excited to share some unique perspectives in the motorsports and enthusiast world. There's plenty of tech discussion, mostly about suspension and chassis. We really want you to get something useful out of each episode and keep it interesting.

The first episode features Dan Kroll, a long time friend of RCE who's been building a Subaru STI unlimited class time attack car for a very long time. Big aero, wide tires, and lots of power. We talk about suspension set up with high downforce cars, set backs along the way, things we wish we could do to our Subarus, and his plans for next year.

Thanks for your time! Hope you enjoy the show.

That is awesome! Wish you guys the best on this new project. About to listen to it.

Super eager about it since I recently made a thread about wanting to understand more about suspension and what not, though I have yet been able to purchase an upgrade for my BRZ.

Thanks!, I've spent some time on your page reading the Apex Files and, BTW, actually listening to the podcast right now.

Im still debating on whether to get the SS-1 or Yellow Combo. The SS-1 seems to make the most sense in the long run, though not sure what other things I should be getting when I order. Yellow combo makes sense more short-term and more of a install and forget it type of thing.

Saw it go live but haven't had time to watch it yet. Did however watch the first few minutes, enough to stick a face to the names!

I would almost recommend just going straight for the SS-1.

I've had the Yellows on with the PP Sachs dampers since... ~2018 or 2019 (everything's a blur these days lol) and while I love the combo, I wish I could adjust settings to play around a bit and actually learn.

I was thinking of making the switch a couple years ago but with everything going on haven't had much of a chance and I'm not doing track days like I had originally thought I would.

So, I think if you want to be able to learn your suspension more deeply and how different settings affect things, then SS-1's may be the way to go.

But if not, Yellows are also a great option.

We just posted episode 2, which has more BRZ and 86 content. Our guest was Gresham Wagner, who piloted a Subaru BRZ to the 2022 SRO TCA driver's championship. Gresham is also the 2021 MX-5 Cup champion. He's a pretty legit driver.

We talk about what it's like to race in a spec series, transitioning from kart racing to sports cars, the GR86 cup cars, and what it's like growing up in a motorsports family.

We also talk a little bit about the GR86 Cup car in iRacing specifically.

Please do like, share, and subscribe to help us grow the channel. We have exciting shows lined up for 2023 so stay tuned for more! We're also getting slightly less awkward on camera...

Check it out on your favorite podcast app or watch it here:

Episode 3 is up! Not much Subaru content in this one...there will be plenty of that in episode 4 which will have someone you all know pretty well.

But this one was pretty awesome. Kévin Estre is legit...Porsche factory driver, 24 hours of lemans GTE Pro champion, 24 hours of Nurburgring, 24 hours of Spa, etc. There's some really awesome stuff here. Check it out and like/share/subscribe!

Sadly I'm behind the camera for this one, but you'll see my big dumb face soon.

He's a bad dude for sure. I have seen a few videos of him racing. Did you have to bring in a special chair for the massive balls he has?

Awesome video. He talks about that pass at some point in the podcast.
