Solo class for track car

So what autocross solo class for my track car? Last year I did a couple local ones in DSP. Now I see the 2013-14 FRS is listed in CSP and DSP (as limited prep). so does that mean if I am not legal for the "limited prep" criteria I am in CSP with the miatas? Seems odd.
If I have some things that are beyond the SP rules, then what? SM?

If you meet the requriements of Limited Prep SP you can run in DSP or CSP, if you are full prep (cut fenders, small cluthc, aero) then you can only run in CSP.

If you are prepped beyond that then it would depend, mostly like SM, or if beyond that like a gutted interior, then DP.

If you're getting close to SM, you may consider XSA. The PAX is a little better.

Plus XA is a street tire class so you don't have to switch to Hoosiers to be competitive.

My vote is for XA.

Our local XA class is a bunch of modified cars and people there to have fun or at least compete in the class together. You've got track cars of people who want to autox, autox people who just like to modify, or newer people who did mods before getting into autox.

Prepared classes, you get super serious people and/or the class is dead in your local region because no one wants to run it.

I can help you class your car. We'll just need more information on your setup.

List everything you've added/changed on it and I can certainly help. Definitely list any aero mods as well. Tires are also important to know what class you'll in for Solo.

Depends on how track-setup your car is (gutted/no interior?) but XA/B is a great street-tire catch-all depending on your car's weight.
