Thanks for your help! So I wouldn't notice any performance or handling differences between these tires that are only slightly different in size?

Okay thanks!

Sounds like my only option is to get coilovers or run 245 tires then.

I guess I might as well run coilovers since the Toyo Tires I'm getting with are very good already.

I'm probably getting wheels first then coilovers later. Afraid someone might snatch them before I can get to them.

Any word on if it rubs though?

Might be getting the TEIN Flex Z coilovers. Also thinking about just getting 245s as well.

EDIT: Would camber bolts do anything?

I'm admittedly not very knowledgeable when it comes to wheel/suspension stuff on cars.
Pretty much what @Vital said. I would test fit the 255s and see how they work out. If they rub, you could get some spacers or just switch out for 245s. But the tires are good so I'd just get the Flex Zs to run the 255s safely. Camber bolts are to dial in front camber and fix poke, but they will bring your tire closer to the strut so they won't really help anything.

Slightly different can actually improve performance and handling as long as you can get a lighter than stock wheel and a 225 tire. You would be reducing weight and increasing grip.

Alright cool. I'll look into running 5mm spacers for the time being since it's very minimal.

Thanks!

Will handling be affected if I just had 5MM spacers to the front and not the rear? From what I heard, the back clears just fine.

Otherwise coilovers first to me.

This is pretty much the last peace of mind I need.

Personally, i would start with a 3mm spacer. I think with a 5mm spacer you might need extended studs. No, the handling wont be affected much for you to even notice.

I agree with @Vital. Adding a 5mm spacer, that needs extended studs, adds cost and labor. And, with out any room to add negative camber, it will poke 5mm more. A 3mm would be better, if it is needed.

A 18x9.5 +32 = 17x7 +0 offset. This is setup (18x9.5 +32) will poke like a stock wheel with a 64mm spacer. if a 30mm spacer is needed to make a stock wheel flush in the front, then your new wheel will poke 34mm.

I would just get a 245/35/18 front tire for your +35 offset 18x9.5 wheels. YOu can run a 255/35 in the rear. This small stagger won't change your cars feel that much at all. Then, later, after you get coils, you can add a bunch of negative camber, and matching front tires.

Or get coils first, it is something to contemplate...

Got some 18x9.5 +35 wheels. What is the widest tire I can run? I have coilovers with adjustable camber in the front and rear. I wouldn't mind running a meatier 40 tire vs a 35 too. But if I need to run a 35 too be able to squeeze a 255 in there that's fine.

Should I get the fenders rolled regardless with a 9.5 wide wheel?

You should be able to snuggly fit a 245/40r18 in there, since that size fits stock. The stock spring are pretty big so any coilover would help with that Clarence. Depending on how low you want to ride will depend if you scrape, the wheel should fit fine on the outside so no fender rolling needed. If you are trying for a 255 you might scrape, but there is decent room if you don't lower to much.

You will easily be able to fit a 255/35/18 tire. Idk why you would want to use a 255/40/18 tire that tire is way too tall. On coilovers you shouldnt have issues as theres way more clearance.

Any need to roll the fender with that 255/35 ? I guess I just think about a 40 tire providing a little more protection from harsh road conditions, potholes etc

No i dont think you need to roll fenders for that spec wheel. That size has become pretty common these days. Although it will depend on how low you are though...

Turns out the tires I got were bad sadly. Two were torn.

I'm on stock suspension as before but.

Does 245/35/18 Nankang NS-25 rub with 18x9.5 wheels on stock suspension? I keep hearing different answers about it.

Option Lab R716s.

Will 17 x8.5 +30 fit on stock suspension? I know it'll poke a bit, but I want to ensure before pulling the trigger on a purchase.

If it does, what tire sizes would you recommend to limit any potential for rubbing?
