100mm pulley is the one that comes with the kit. This is 12999-AK005. The 90mm pulley is the optional pulley. This is 12999-AK003.
The belt that comes with the kit and is for the 100mm pulley is a 6PK2440. The HKS belt this size has been discontinued. There is no HKS belt for the 90mm pulley. You would just have to measure what you need and buy the correct one. |

The V2 and V3 kits use the same supercharger and as I mentioned before, we have yet to have anyone with a problem with the supercharger itself. |

If someone has a V2 with the restrictor off and the powerband is too peaky.. what is the next step? Smaller pulley with restrictor? Some sort of V3 frankenstein combo?
Boost comes on very late and of course when you don't hit boost until more than halfway through the tachometer, that linear crawl to max boost at redline leaves a very narrow window of good power. My 86 is gutless below 5800 and it's not a tuning issue

I think of my power band as being like an S2000 but with higher numbers 276 WHP@7000, 209 TQ. Not gutless at all, still have to wring it, just that you get more out of it. Alternately, theres the positive displacement setups where torque comes in low but thats a recipe for wheel spin and lost traction and IMHO not consistent with the cars character. I think power the delivery being proportionate to the revs works for this platform. More power is useless if you cant put it down. Sure a smaller pulley will bring on the power lower down with quicker boost, but consider the other factors involved. Right now the clutch should be fine. With higher torque earlier the clutch will wear faster and with more power the axles can go. And I am not sure how to keep early torque down unless you want max width rear tires which hurts handling. I wouldn't personally go much higher than 9-9.5 PSI regards to boost restriction. My setup now appears to peak at 9.5 once but on a cooler day it read peak 10.5 at cutoff. I have a 90mm pulley and injectors but decided not to bother installing them.

Then if you still want more power, you can do the pulley upgrade kit, so long as you have the fuel and tuning to back it up. |

I have uel headers, 60mm overpipe and front pipe and 3in single exit exhaust. Would I be able use my setup with this kit and run the e85 flash tune?

I am running the V2 with no restrictor and am peaking at 11psi If I install the V3 upgrade kit what boost will I be running? This is another one of the things they couldn't / wouldn't answer for me on the phone. The only way I want to upgrade to the V3 kit is if I'm not downgrading in terms of power. I want to run the same or a small amount more boost but with a better boost curve.

Hi,
I've tested acceleration of 86 with v3 installed. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQM5vNKuRiw"]HKS Supercharger V3 0-200km/h Test - YouTube[/ame] What's your thought? V3 + 100mm pulley (boost peak recorded is ~14.5 psi.) RON98 225/50R16 Kumho 4X-II |
