NA is the plan, I happen to have some BMW M5 individual throttle bodies hanging around and couldn't help but notice both a 4.4L V8 and a 3.3L H6 both have a cylinder displacement of 0.55L

As for the trans the plan is to keep the BRZ trans as the only change needed will be modify the bell housing to accept a starter on the other side, the bolt holes are there but need to make room for the starter to pass through. Other then that it will bolt up, BRZ flywheel and clutch seems to bolt onto the EG just fine.

Of course everything is speculation at this point.

Very cool! What kind of power output would you like to see form the H6? Do you think you will you do internals or any head work?

Its been hard to find dyno's of SVX cars as thats what this motor came in. The few I have found show just under 200 hp and the same for torque which is the real goal. Also keep in mind those cars had awful automatics and are AWD so those numbers are down.

There is a well documented build of 3.3 with cams and head work making 320whp and 276wtq again in an AWD car, they also said it made more but they brought it down to meet some class rules.

I spoke to a engine builder in CA and they say they have gotten to 400whp but thats full on bored out high comp build which I am not into.

What I am searching for is a more analog feel from the car and to me this motor fits the bill more so then the Turbo FA

Once I have at least fired this thing once I would like to pull the heads for some basic work and a cam upgrade.

Well, damn! 320/276 on a stock bottom end, with some head work and minimal fabrication... why would you not! Those engines are cheap, it's not even going to cost that much to build (in comparison) It would be nice if the mounts, oilpan, etc fit.

If 320/276 was AWD, then you could realistically see 340hp and probably near 300tq, maybe more. Talk about potentail I would rather have that then FI for a daily driver. Do you have a link to that 3.3 build?

They just crushed the SVX in the local yard. It didn't have anything pulled of it either.. I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat had I know you had plans for this.

Sad news, cant say I really blame though. When I picked my motor up they were very curious why I wanted it haha.

ok, so 320/276 was on a built bottom end. Stock it ran 285/250, which is still good.

Either way, 250ft lbs! that new Edelbrock SC everyone is talking about makes what 185lbs. Also a fun note that the Edelbrock SC has been independently weighted at 81 lbs!

Fixed some wires on my scales and tossed the car on, 3/4 tank of gas and a roll bar.

56/44 Front to Rear, not bad.

Which BMW engine are you referring to? I don't recall the M62 4.4 V8 having ITBs.
The S62 (5.0 V8 from the e39 M5) or S65 (4.0 V8 from the e9x M3) sure, but not the M62.

Otherwise, I'm a long time reader of this thread, amazing work.

Your right I misspoke, these throttles are from the S62 which is 5L. I used to own a 4.4 M62
