You wouldn't happen to be the guy following me down Roosevelt the other day, would you? I was in the black one with Toyota badges and sitting low.

Either way, welcome to the forums!

Holy hell this is a gargantuan thread. Are there any regular meets in the NOLA area? I'm sure it must've been discussed at some point in this Odyssey of a thread, but jeez. Yell at me all you want for not searching, won't care.

I won't be back into the US until around December, but after that I'd probably be down for a NOLA meet every now and then. With a thread this big, I'm wondering if maybe ya'll have a regular thing going, like maybe once a month at a certain place or something?

We were doing once a week at one point but people had to start backing out. Now we don't meet as often, sometimes it's spur of the moment.

Oh, ok. So no predetermined schedule then? Were you always meeting in the same place?

Usually 1 of 2 places we met at. We are doing a meet at Nola Motorsports on the 18th of this month, but that's it for now. I would really like to get this going again if people would show instead of certain people bailing for a damn haircut.. @Mr.Frs

Where do you meet at the track? Just in the parking lot by the go karts or something? I've never been there on a not-a-motorcycle day, so I don't know how accessible the paddock is on a regular basis.

Honestly, couldn't tell you. Last time I went to Nola Motorsports was for a drift event and the lot they used was the only thing open other than the karts. The track wasn't even done being built. @GT86Brah or one of the others may be able to answer that better.

Oh ok. If the paddock is accessible every day, that would be a perfect place. Like over by the MSF course. Pretty much infinity room.

Assumed this would be the best place to ask. Thinking of going FI and was wondering what shops are around Lafayette area for tuning. If i owned a Camaro it would be too easy. Can't for any import tuners.

Saw a release series '14 on the Basin Bridge headed toward Lafayette today. Had a Yokem Shreveport plate frame and a temp tag. Anyone here?

I was rocking 55 in the slow lane with my Golf pulling a 5x10 900# trailer loaded with another stack of my worldly belongings for my move to Lafayette.

On another note, anyone have a reputable paint shop in the Acadiana area? I need to have my Carsmo wing re-done. I gave to a friend who's father-in-law was supposedly a body shop owner and a great painter. Long story short, there's trash in the paint and marks where it held it to paint it. I need it redone. He claims it's got a ton of clear and the trash might only be in the clear, so it could just be a cut & polish job, but I'm guessing it's a repaint.

I haven't looked that much into it, but the closest place I know of is Houston. I think I came up with that by searching specifically for EcuTek tuners.

Yea, I've seen that same place. I'm not much into cars that I can't modify. Thanks though.

What does the Houston shop have to do with not being able to modify your car?

I don't want to drive to Houston for a Ecutek Tune... Or help trouble shooting things I may want to install. I Don't really see that many great tuning options.
