I imagined his voice in my head haha. Yeah pulling a fuse disables the abs unit as a whole. But that's including brake balancing. Not sure if you can also keep the speedo working while the abs doesn't get power. Plus people can be lazy so a car switch works for people lol. This abs feature is just a niche.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing an issue when using ecutek and the tracbox where when turning the fans on, the connection to the Bluetooth dongle plugged into the OBD2 dies and any data logging is interrupted. When activating the pedal dance, I do not experience this and the dongle works normal. I’m using the below configuration...

- Pedal Dance and Fans on a switch
- EcuTek Bluetooth dongle & app to log/view data

Anyone else experience this — is it expected behavior?

I can try to test this when mine arrives since I did order the fan option.

Unfortunately thats the nature of the beast. The Tracbox sends the command to turn on the fans every once in a while in the advanced OBD2 range of canbus IDs. This also happened in the original beastronix. I have taken a lot more steps to minimize data crossing. Just because to activate the fan it has to do so X amount of times per minute. So when fans are on that's what happens.

If its a issue when cooling down your car, i can see if i can prolong the period. So it would be something like 5 seconds on, 5 second off, repeat... it could relive that issue.

So far it doesn't bother me, I only use the fan to cool the car after a session. At that point, I'm not logging anything. I just noticed it while I was out testing some cooling updates.

Thanks for the explanation — makes sense — appreciate it! And yea, not really an ‘issue’ (probably shouldn’t of used that word), but was curious if this was expected. Thanks for the responses — have loved the product so far!

I mean thing is still great feedback. If you guys think its a good idea i can modify it a bit.

Good news for anyone that also wants the ABS disable. Works in all speeds! Its scary to know ABS can be disabled and the effects on the car are. and how worse it is if you have the EBD off.

Edit for clarification: The Tracbox (if ordered w/ pedal dance & fan switch capability) will have 4 leads -- 1 to pedal switch, 1 to fan switch, 1 red lead for +12v, and 1 black lead for GND.

Thanks for that. So just run the power to one of the LED 12v in, then daisy chain them all. Same for ground. What gauge wire you use? I almost never do wiring aside from some butt connectors

I had emailed you earlier about the ABS feature and just found this thread. Gonna place my order today.

18 AWG will do just fine.

After a 3 month wait, thanks covid and customs, finally got mine today, the lid of the box was a felt a bit flimsy and the box itself was a bit dirty. Opened it up and the PCB (both sides) is like this...

presumably some IPA will clean it up, it doesn't just brush off and looks like somethings dried on it. Anyone else receive one like this?

that's the mark of using super glue to bond the two case halves together. superglue isn't very good at anything other than screwing stuff up, and on cuts...
