ACE is Force Induction money on just a header. I'm good. I say go with either Tomei, JDL or Ftspeed (formally known as ft86speedfactory). Could even get them cheap if you look of sales on facebook or the forum.

Some of us are on FI budgets but don't need or care for FI. I had bought a turbo kit for my car and sold it before it ever went on.

You must have some crazy bartering skills or something.
Where are you seeing new FI for the same price as a new ace header?

My ace 250 100% new from ft86speedfsctory was 1350$ shipped btw. I realize the 350s are about 1700$, but if you got the hookup on a new FI setup for 1700$ please hook a brother up that is some deals.

So by that what you really mean is “ACE is half the cost of forced induction for just a header but minus the typical thousands of dollars of supporting mods you typically run with forced induction.”

So really the price isn’t even close is what your saying?

Understood

FI is still good bang for buck, but ACE ain't bad bang for buck for what it is either especially when NA has a hard cap that can’t be reached otherwise.

Currently running a stage 1 tune from OFT. Naturally after deciding on the topic above, will move onto stage 2.
I have 2017+ stock header and HKS dual resonated front pipe but my exhaust is also HKS Hi-Power Spec-L. I am very much satisfied with the sound and performance (with JRSC). If you want a different sound, I recommend replacing the catback. But keep the stock header. Stock header has very good flow, very reliable, and has the best heat management.

Well I got my used Vortech kit for $450, so in those terms an ACE header is 3x my FI budget

I procured a P&L catted header a few years back and love it. Not as good as Ace but still pretty good, and I like the sounds it makes.

I don't follow the logic and I've seen it posted many, many times.

"A header is $1 and FI is $2 so you may as well just go FI" It makes no sense. You are generally interested in doing one or the other or none of the above.

Someone doing a NA build could spend twice as much as someone else doing a FI build. It doesn't mean that it was wasted money just because they have fewer ponies in the end.

Just a used jdl kit go for 2k . All I'm saying is no need to waste that much money on small gains.

Can’t really compare new to used when comparing price. Either used and used or new and new. Plus a used header is less risky then a used turbo/FI kit.

I’m a big advocate for FI. A mild low boost turbo setup is probably all around the best bang for buck you can get and I think NA gains are just a tease. But I understand some people’s reasoning for wanting to stay NA (several reasons for doing so) and with NA having such a hard cap on max potential and largely based on header, paying the premium for premium gains is worth it.

Look at reliable Turbo cars and they need many supporting mods that dramatically increase the price, especially if you are tracking.

Sure you can slap that used turbo kit for 2k but watch those oil temps.

I understand where you're coming from but try to see the logic of someone that will never consider FI. Pretend it doesn't exist because in their mind it doesn't. It's not an option and never will be.

Many people that want to squeeze every single pony out of a NA build will likely go all out. If that means spending FI money so be it. They don't care what FI costs. I always leave it open as an option myself, but it's very unlikely to happen.
