If it's RWD someone will buy it, 90 cup holders and all. My issue would be the added tech. Don't need all that shit in the car; give us a factory oil temp and move on.

Oh no doubt. It could sell hundreds of thousands of units and kill the Mustang market. I just don't know if it will be the crowd on here right now buying it. I know it wouldn't be me.

Oh and there will be no escaping the tech soon. It is inevitable. As long as they still let us turn it off then just grin and bare it.

Trickle down economy is broken the richest people on this planet are hoarding money away.

My feeling it will be delayed

If I can turn it off, ignore it and not even realize it's there, then I have no qualms. But the obnoxious sensors and constant beeping and plugging my phone in and notifications constantly pop up.. Auto braking, lane keep assist, all of the safety mumbo jumbo. I hate it all. They can keep their glitter covered shit safety features.

Unless, as in many contracts, there is a force majeure clause. I can easily see lawyers arguing successfully that the Corona Beer Kardashian virus is a force majeure*. (* A totally unforeseen event, such as an earthquake.)

Could possibly pull it off for the period of interruption. Would not work as an overall canceling of the contract because that event screwed up the economy and they didn't think they would sell the cars.

Back before the 2008 recession there were about 100 times the parts manufacturers there are now. Many did not survive and were eaten up by the bigger players. When there were many smaller ones the car companies had the power and would just walk out of a contract and go to the next guy. After the smoke cleared the parts manufacturers had the power to enforce their contracts since the car companies had far less places to turn.
Back in 2012 GM tried to play hardball with one of our facilities and made some demands at contract renewal time that would have been met in a heartbeat just 5 years before. The company CEO (TRW at that time) said "FUCK YOU" cancelled the whole thing and just shut down the plant. It was pretty big news in the manufacturing world at the time since it was one of the first cases where a company publicly stood up to the Big 3.
Believe me they will not get out of contracts because they don't think the car would sell.

I doubt most people know if their car in RWD or FWD but they certainly know it it's AWD. You get a badge for that!

I do enjoy me an old school car. I can live with ABS though tbh, traction, so long as there is a true OFF switch, I am good.

Yup. My wife has a Mini AWD and snows. It eats snow in the winter. It's amazing.

I have a FWD with snows and it's way more fun

I totally agree with this statement. One of the features that drew me to this car was the lack of assist features. Having 2 new drivers in the house in the last year that learned to drive on a vehicle with every assist available I can tell you in 20 years there won't be a used car market for these cars because no one will know how to drive it.

I learned to drive on my sister's 1976 Plymouth Arrow. All glass, nothing power. That was a kick ass 96 HP car.

Hey, you're one to talk. Do you look at the ass end of your car or do you pretend it doesn't exist? :P
