Cool that Toyota is finally giving it an MT option. I hope it feels better than the typical rubbery feel of the current BMW manual transmissions.

Open your 86's trunk and keep the seats up. Now remove the bulges on each side so you have a perfect square in the center of the trunk. That is the size of the Supra's. Plenty big for a few hundred dollars in groceries but, you not carrying a bike or set of wheels like the twins can with the seat down.

I think the LC can give you an idea of how you can use the space in an 86 vs a Supra...

The Supra's trunk shape is weird (i think the 10 cubic feet is under the cover), and it doesnt seem to gain a whole lot from the openness of the hatch. and you're right up against hte seats already.

Autoblog has a BRZ luggage test.
You can now compare it directly with the Supra luggage test now

Not sure I understand this at the end of the article:

Now, what about other sporty cars? Well, this should give you an idea about the Civic Si, the Hyundai Elantra N and the Ford Mustang. They'd all be better than this. So is the Supra, which is still one of my favorite luggage test Tetris jobs to date.
The author clearly states in the Supra article he could not get all the "standard luggage" in the Supra, yet it fits easily in the BRZ in "two seat mode".

Yeah weird wording and it kind of made it sound like the Supra had more space?

I suppose he's actually saying he had fun playing tetris with the luggage in the Supra due to its weird trunk/opening shape.

That was my take on it.

When are they going to put an actual sports car steering wheel in the Supra? The current one still looks like it came off a Camry.

I think they need to bring out some new and bolder colours. Maybe a hyper blue, an orange, British racing green, maroon. The standard colours have grown a bit stale - thank goodness for yellow at least.

The industry as a whole suffers from the black and white disease.

Driving around or looking at parking lots is like being in an old movie!

With the rise of autonomous driving, it'll include the green screen background effect!
