That was my letter I said to class the damn car in STR as there's really no where else to put it, no additional time is going to magically make it reasonable to put it in STX, etc. I said do that, or give it it's own provisional STX2 class, which is why I got a TYFYI

This should make for some interesting STR battles.

I love that Gen1's get a longer lifespan in STX. It'll create a great battle in STR and leave STX as-is (which is perfect).

Classing the FR-S and BRZ in DSP is not considered in the best interests of the category.
However, the committee is interested in feedback regarding classing them in BSP.
Thus the SPAC is requesting member input regarding the following classing change proposal:
BSP
Scion & Subaru
FR-S & BRZ (2013-2016)
FR-S & BRZ (2017-2020)
Why on separate lines?
Put them on the same line along with the 2022 and update/backdate engines and final drives?

Write a letter and ask for that. It certainly seems reasonable to ask for all the first gens to be on the same line.

STX participation will take a noticable hit though. Don't get too comfortable if numbers slip a lot this year.

They probably meant that 2017- is 86, not FR-S.

Well because they’re on separate lines you can’t swap parts between them, yes the frs/2017 is a typo but not the underlying problem they’re looking at.

One of the neat/terrible things about street prepared is update/backdate, so you Could legally put a 2017+ engine with the extra 5hp into a 2013 chassis assuming the cars are on the same line in the classing, which it’s currently proposed that they are not. If the ‘22+ ends up on the same line you could put the 2.4L into an early car. The gearing options may be worth considering as well, not sure much else is. On the newer cars a knuckle swap might be interesting.

Whether that’s the right call idk, not many people are interested in playing with those rule sets these days, it’a a lot of work for not a ton of gain.

First autocross weekend in the history books! The car is phenomenal! I tested back to back with an ND2 Miata in STR and I don't think we can hang in STR yet (but it will be close with tunes to fix the low rev limiter) but the car is so dang fun I don't even really care. Love the easy adjust Karcepts swaybar and the Shaftworks USA shocks. I made one swaybar change early Saturday at the Test and Tune (math said I should have been where I ended up, but I was lazy and set the swaybar softer) and I didn't do anything for shocks, adjustment wise. I'm really really happy with the car.

My Saturday TnT run:

Amy's TnT run:

Sunday's event was defined by crummy off and on rain. I made no changes for the wet and I was clearly the fastest in the wet, but it dried out and I coned away my fast run, then it rained again for Amy and she was faster in the rain than in the dry but coned it away too. Ignore the squeaking in the video, we left our trunk junk in because of the rain and the mic was picking up the squeaky styrofoam. I'll share our faster runs first.

My fastest raw time:
