Unhappy The strength of an 86...

Hi All

Alas it has been a horrible week on SA's roads with numerous car accidents and several lives being lost. I am one of the thankful survivors who didn't suffer too much damage or injuries.

I was hit by a Mercedes Benz Vito who had been hit from behind by a Quantum on the R24 highway on Friday afternoon. The aftermath is attached. The car's massive rigidity and flexible plastic bumpers absorbed the blow quite well considering the mass of the vehicles that hit me. The boot still opens and closes without difficulty. The exhausts will obviously need to be changed along with the tow hitches and back bumper with some undercarriage repairs. Car still drives straight so suspension appears unharmed.

It deserves that 5 star ANCAP rating.

Drive safe people!

Not really sure how I restrained myself from pulling out my tow hitch and beating somebody to death... Only had this car 7 weeks... And the Vito had a bullbar!

Get the USA TRD Exhaust ...fits nicely to the current back bumpers.

Sorry to hear.
Did the actual exhaust get damaged, or only the tips?

Also, what do they mean by this:
Exhaust silencers (each): R5834

There is only one big box at the back, surely they wouldn't all need replacing?

From what I can see the exhaust bent to the right - now the thing is Toyota don't even know what these pipes look like obviously - still so new. I'm also getting the idea it should be a single silencer box in the middle - which I will insist is replaced. One tip is badly damaged but I think they can come off with a socket or something as there is a hole at the bottom.

FR-S TRD Exhaust looks and sounds nice...

Just kak timing for this hey!
