Blendmount Compatible Radars Pricing

Okay, I love the look of the Blendmount. Yes, its more expensive than some cheaper ones without the same fit and finish.

Blendmount can use Escort, Beltronics, and Valentine One radars.

My experience with radar:
My last radar was a 20 dollar refurb I got from a Woot-off and it worked fine with the cops in my county.

My experience shopping for Blendmount compatible radar:
they're expensive as hell

Does anyone have a recommendation on a Blendmount compatible radar that's not an arm and leg? A refurb service for one of those brands or an unlisted cheaper radar that works?

I made my own mount, attaches to the neck of the rear view mirror, with some conduit clamps and mending plates. I will attach photos after work.

I have a brand new mirror mount if you would like to have it. I decided to hard wire it that's why I never used it. They won't let me return it because it's already been 3 days! Pm me if you want it

The escort products are well worth the money. The GPS and auto-false sensing is super Nice to have, especially in a populated area. A cheap unit will false alarm at every damned strip mall and grocery store you go by. The Escort will learn those locations and train itself to stay quiet. No false alarms is like no crying wolf.

Now if you want to save some money, Id be willing to sell my 9500ix and the blendmount with the wiretap used and save you a bit. I'm going to go with a permanent mount remote solution this spring. PM me

I finally bought a refurbished Escort 8500 X50 (escort sells these through their ebay store).

Reasons:
I can disable scanning for X altogether since cops here don't use it (vs paying hundreds more for a GPS model that I can tell to ignore certain X signals). If I ever drive out of state, I can just switch modes and scan for X again.

Suddenly getting Homelink mirror for my BRZ Limited is even more awesome. Installing the mirrortap in the back of the molex connector for the Homelink mirror was so much more painless than tapping into the domelight.
