There has been one racing in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS class (GT4) for a couple years now. I saw it in person at Mid-Ohio. They also run the Ginetta G55 there. Neither are street legal in the US.

It will take a lot of sales to make homologation for the street financially feasible. When I worked for Mosler, it took a couple million just in crash testing, and we declared the car a "multi purpose vehicle". Costs have gone up significantly since then, with the side, and curtain air bag reqts.
Odds are, if it ever hits the streets in the U.S., it will be titled as a kit car. |
