I was there last week as well if anyone saw. I was the white FRS with Gold RPF1s and an APR splitter.

Schedule would be like:

530-630: parking in actual C&C lot.. assuming you have a non-stock car that is somewhat presentable
630-730: walk around to look at car
730-830: douches roll around parking, wanting attention, etc. (exhibit A: orange Lambo on Saturday, guy in Solara!!! trying to park, car club of Mustangs making loud noises as they park, etc)
830-930: people roll out, drive stupid, and cops do nothing. (exhibit A: see orange Lambo above, he was driving like an ass while leaving)

Long story short: if you're not there by 8 you will miss out on most things, including parking in the spectator structure.

Actually I do. I expect the Irvine PD to do something about idiots like this, but in reality they don't give a shit just like the rest of us.

Not sure if it was his super tight stretchy vinyl pants giving him a hernia or what, though... if that's the case, then I feel less sorry for him.

I have lived in Irvine for quite a few years and the Irvine PD is USUALLY pretty strict. I have even gotten stopped for speeding on my bicycle. 37 in a 25.

yup, and yet they don't enforce stuff at C&C, especially at the exit.

If the entire PD wants to be an ass, fine, but at least be consistent. They never bother policing the true idiots.

Regarding the first part, it's a misconception. It's not that your car should be non-stock, it should be unique. The worst is when you have say 10+ 911s and the only difference is basically the wheels...I could care less haha. The spirit of the show is really to bring out something that people would rarely see (FRS/BRZs with just wheels and a simple lip kit are dime a dozen, etc.)

agreed. surprisingly all the lower end modded cars actually look different like the skylines that showed up and some nsxs and s2000s. i saw at least 5 of those stock volvo turbo bricks in the parking lot and i was pretty mad.
