In regards to the spoke profile, it has to be a profile 1 like the current 17x9" ET42 in order to clear the PP Brembo brakes, etc. BBK clearance is a non-negotiable for us

For enthusiasts looking for a more concave spoke design, I would urge you to look at our new EC-7R forged wheel line. These wheels offer the best of both worlds, brake clearance and spoke concavity.

Hey Ryan, no worries! I caved in last weekend and ordered a set of Arc-8s in bronze during the sale. They got here yesterday and they look awesome, very happy. At first I wasn't into the nearly flat profile, but now I love how beefy it makes the car look. There was a scratch on one of them but luckily it'll be covered by the tire, so no big deal.

I'm trusting my Filipino brother @pinoy_dorifto that these wheels/SX2's will clear my Sachs/RCE Yellows with minimal camber for the time being while I look into my coilover options.

Thank you Ryan and the Apex Team

Black Friday was a great time to acquire a set of wheels. We appreciate your business and hope you enjoy them!

That is certainly an interesting place to see a scratch, and we are sorry to see that. Our wheels are packaged with safety in mind (double boxed with lip protectors), and in the rare case damage does occur, it is typically at the lip of the wheel after our friends at UPS has gone all Ace Ventura on us Thankfully the location of yours will be covered by the tire as you mentioned, but please reach out if I can assist further.

Need help

Interested in getting some wide 245 40 17 Hankook RS4s for my ARC-8 17x9 42+ wheels
I have PP struts with TRD springs and running Verus camber plates.

Would I have any issues with fitment with no spacers? Any rubbing with fender or strut?

I do have a 3mm spacer but would want to avoid running them (not sure if ill need extended lugs for that)

I have these on pp struts with TRD springs. It is insanely close up front with 245/45 tires- with the 3mm spacer you should be ok, I'm getting 5mm spacers for mine because it's literally credit card width away from the spring perch. Depending on how wide the RS3s run, you may be safer than ne- I'm on Bottom NT555Rs

I figured. Would I need extended studs to run 3mm on these ARCs (this configuration would be track only)?

Do you have any rub otherwise (fender, lining, etc?)

I'll most likely be going with 235 rs4s in that case just to be on the safe side

To be fair, my car hasn't run in the year I've owned these, so I can't say if they rub at full lock. I'd guess no. You should be ok on stock studs, but if you're doing track, I'd bite the bullet and upgrade them anyway

I'm so pleased with these wheels. They look exactly how I wanted them to when I ordered them. Ready for track day #1 tomorrow.

Planning to pick up a set of these soon to go with a set of continentals or michelins in 245/40R17. My 2014 BRZ is lowered on eibach prokit springs and I would like to know if these will fit/not rub without spacers. I did see that some others have their cars on prokit springs in the thread.

It's more about camber and offset. The stock struts have a bigger spring perch which could cause issues.

What if I'm not interested in running any camber? Is there enough room between the tire/wheel and the spring perch? I don't really want to deal with running spacers or stud extensions.

My tires are 235/40-17. I put the wheels on before I put the coilovers on just because I was anxious to see how they looked. With the stock strut and spring, I could not get my finger between the tire and spring up front. But, I did drive around for several days like that without any rubbing. 245's, especially if they are a "wide" 245 might rub.

Our ARC-8 17x9" ET42 will work great with the non-Sachs stock suspension and 245/40-17 Michelin PS4S tires. No spacers are required as long as you are not dialing in camber at the knuckle (camber bolts compromise wheel to strut clearance unlike adjustable camber plates). The higher ET42 offset keeps the wheel tucked under the fenders for a flush fitment without poke so that camber is not a requirement.

For enthusiasts running the PP Sachs struts (which have a slightly larger silhouette), or for enthusiasts that plan to dial in camber at the knuckle using camber bolts, we recently developed an ARC-8 17x9" ET35 which will position the wheel 7mm further away from the strut thus avoiding the need for spacers. Due to the more aggressive offset, a touch of negative camber is recommended to prevent the wheel and tire from poking.

Edit: The new ARC-8 17x9" ET35 is now live on our site! LINK

The idea is to give 86/BRZ owners both 9" fitment options to ensure drivers can acquire a wheel that best suits their specific needs without compromise.

Would running lowering springs affect the need for spacers with the ET42 wheels?

If the only thing in the suspension you're changing is the lowering springs, the wheel will have the same range of motion as with original springs, and will hit the same spots (or will not hit the same spots).

However, changing from original springs to lowering springs can affect how frequently something rubs and how hard something rubs if it does rub with original springs.
