The stock reverse sockets seal pretty well without water entry.

When I did my project, I also put some hot black glue to help seal it. I also created a plastic piece to go below the wiring (above the exhaust) where the center bumper cutout is and tie wrapped it to make sure.

Furthermore, I pressure checked it. I also did the water test on the inside for leakage, and vacuumed it all out (including any condensation). It's bulletproof regarding moisture entry.

Bottom line, get a good socket, do a good job, and you won't have to go through and do all the testing I did.

Actually US cars do not have a rear fog light. It is something that has appeared on imports here and has begun to receive recognition as a safety feature.
Also the FRS has no wiring for the rear fog light, I am not sure about the front.

If you really want it done right toss the electrical tape and use shrink tubing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the bulb out warning is the issue people get installing LEDs on a Canbus enabled harness? Apparently Canbus standard is used in most all Euro (German) cars.
