Steering lock while tracking / bogging start

Hey everyone,

had a question.
My last 4-5 track days i had this steering issue and i have no idea what the issue is. i had another friend with an FRS run into the same issue.

Steering lock:
anytime i try to turn the wheel more than a ~70-100 degrees to either side under load, the wheel wont move. it feels like there is a block prohibiting me to turn the wheel anymore. I am sure if i FORCE IT hard enough it will go but higher speed turns i panic and rather play it safe.
Big willow this happens at turn 3-6 going up and down the hill since there is incline.decline load and the turns are a bit sharper.

Streets of willow i have this issue first hair pin, and entrance to the bowl.

I do have a perrin steering rack lockout, and my friend who has the frs does have steering rack bushings.

Does anyone else have this issue?
Sorry i cant explain it more. The wheel actually wont move.

Bogging start:
this question is for maybe my catalytic converter?
I am running full e85. factory front pipe with cat.
it was running fine when i first tuned over.
but now it is kinda sluggish on start. Idles lower than i rememeber and it is much quieter than i remember (i guess the last one is a plus xD)
this morning when i started my car, it actually bogged until it shut off.

is my cat plugged? or is it just because it is cold?
not an engine expert .

thanks in advance guys.

Wheel offset and size? Tire size? Suspension setup? My right front hits my sway bar when turned to the right all the way and both tires hit my inner fender liners during really high cornering loads in certain situations and it would cause really high resistance in the wheel for a brief moment.

hmm ill double check my suspension set up.

im running 17x9 et35.
245/40/17 re71r

i dont have any rub. i already know i cant FULL LOCK since it hits bumpsteer arm. But other than that i dont hear any other audible rubbing. But at slow speeds/ dd theres no issue.
and theres no dmg on my tires other than normal track day wear.
idk if anyone has rack/pinion or even axle experience?

I will double check my clearance though.

EPS overheats, stops assisting you to protect itself so it goes to a fully manual rack for a split second, not sure if there's a known fix unless you have increased caster, decreasing caster helps not overwork the EPS. I think most people just fight through it.

EPS cutout always manifested a bit differently in my car. It would surface based on load not steering position.

Also possible that you are rubbing the tires on the top of the wheel well. I know if I lower the car a bit more than 1inch lower than stock, I get that issue on very high load corners (fast uphill corners mostly).

What about the newer revision EPS motors? Looks like they've done a couple revisions and even the 2020s got a new one. Not sure about the 2022 cars though.

I'd occasionally have the issue in my '14. Have never encountered in my '17. I think there were changes with the '17 refresh; this has been discussed elsewhere, so not just me.
