Deos this car not warn you when you are low on washer fluid?

I know that I am anti-electronic nannies, but on the way back from the ski slope, I ran out of washer fluid with no chance for a fill for many miles.

I guess I got used to my other cars having an idiot light to warn me before I ran out. Am I missing something?

No warning light. Does come with a dipstick in the washer fluid tank though.

Sure it does! When you pull the lever and you notice the stream does not travel up as far as it did the first time you ever used it, that's your "low fluid" warning. Attention to detail, there soldier!

PDI "Not"

I just checked mine and discovered that the reservoir was basically empty. Car is brand new and I've only used the spray 1or 2 times.

I filled it up and it took almost 1/2 of a Gal. Kind of weird.. I'm going to keep an eye on this... maybe there's a slow leak.

That's good. My current car has a light that turns on and off even with a decent amount left and its so annoying.

Based on the other electronics in the Subie I wouldn't be surprised if they had the warning sensor, although likely not.

Based on this car being a Scion and having some good standard performance gear, it's expected for stuff like this to be absent. I have lived with and without this feature, no biggie.

NOHOME I'm still waiting for a you to add a positive or enthusiastic post to this forum. Maybe in the summer!

There is a warning system. Shortly before it runs out, the stream gets weak.

Mine was pretty much totally empty. Took the whole gallon with room to spare.

Stupid road salt has me using it constantly.

As for warning, the cleaning performance on the passenger side will fall off first. Of it isn't cleaning as well overe there, look to refill! That's what I observed anyway.

No shit. When you pull the lever and nothing comes out, it's empty. Not that difficult.
