Finished Brembo F/R PP brakes install
Took awhile to get all the parts together and even buying used off a 400 mile 2017 STI BRZ (Japan) it's expensive! Subaru gives you the PP for $1195. That won't buy even the Brembo rear calipers! The Brembos F/R, backing plates, hoses, pads, etc are over $5500 sourced from best discount pricing I could find!
I did OK used off a low mileage barely broken in car but it was a lot to swap out the rears. The rear backing plates have to come off to accept the larger rotors. Doing that means removing the rear axel nut, pulling your hub rear wheel bearing assy, completely disassembly of the entire parking brake components, and re-assembly. Now that it's done, I'm DONE doing anything to the car for awhile! Just wash and drive and enjoy it! |

Thoughts on the Cusco vs. SRP pedal in terms of functionality? I like the Cusco since it just bolts on and I think you have to drill into the pedal for the SRP. I heard the Cusco does raise the pedal a bit though.

You do have to drill, but you can easily remove the whole accelerator pedal assembly so you can really take your time with it. Same can be said with the no-drill installation of the Cusco. The Cusco unit has a more gloss finish than the oem pedals so it does look off but nothing even close to a deal breaker. The Cusco also has a rubber sticky pad that its pedal compresses onto, so the rubber actually protrudes through the pedal adding grip. Despite this the Cusco is still the more slippery pedal compared to the semi-rough satin finish on the SRP. I wear a size 12 shoe and found both comfortable. Essential mod imo. |

I like long hard drives, but E85 (or sometimes even 98) can be hard to find in some very small towns in Australia.... so fuel range can sometimes be an issue.
Finished this solution today, that works like a dream. 5mm alloy plate with Rotopax mounts fixed to the rear cross brace. One simple and secure quick release per tank. Easily removed when not needed, and can even be doubled up on top of each other for a total of 4 tanks (that would be in an extreme circumstance...). These are 6.6 litres each ( about 1.75 gal) , which is enough to get out of trouble in terms of range. Lyndon |

I just screwed my SRP pedal in, no drilling. The OEM pedal has some soft squishy bits so I peeled off the OEM pedal cover with pliers and then just screwed in the SRP pedal with the provided self tapping screws. There was no drilling involved, it was literally a 2 minute install.

Did the pedal get damaged at all when you removed it? I noticed it was held on by these thick metal taps so I didn’t try to pry it out. But when I part my car out (In like 10 years) Id like to trade gas pedals with someone without giving them the whole assembly. |
