Interesting how the Hyperblue is a lighter color in the bay there...

My WRB is a much darker blue and no clear coat. I've not seen many cars with a nicely painted engine bay. Meh.

I think most of them are base coat. I know for a fact that the lava FRS has a sort of burnt orange engine bay. Look, even on the ones Ichitaka just posted, it's like they all just have a base coat. The blue has darker blue, the white pearl is just white, the asphalt is just black, and the red... Actually the red looks red everywhere. Cheaters.

As for impressions, I can't give any. I haven't driven the car hard enough with it installed to actually have useful feedback yet.

I paid 18,500 yen. Shipping was rolled into the package I bought so it was probably closer to 24,000. It isn't nearly as cost effective to order individual items from Japan. I had about 5 large items shipped at once, so shipping wasn't awful.

Ah, that's why I got confused. The engine bay doesn't have the pearl coat so I thought it was just some sort of primer.

Started Bruce up yesterday and took him for a spin since the Alaskan Winter wasn't too much for him to ride on. Gosh this car is amazing after driving my wife's legacy for the meantime. Thinking Alaska was gonna have a harsh winter this time. I do plan on removing my emblems in the rear over the weekend tho.

A random bucket appeared and attacked my front lip on the freeway while I was doing about 65-ish...

Then I fixed it the next day with random stuff I had around.

I have been impressed again by excellent service performed at WORKS Motorsports (Sonoma Raceway), who did a baseline alignment (for suspension starting numbers), installed Stage III R/T coilovers, and did a second (mostly front) alignment.

LCA install and complete alignment (after front suspension settles) is scheduled in a few weeks.

My long drive home showed I am going to like this cÖilover mod very much.

Many thanks and much kudos @WORKS for the great install.
