They have tread depth left but some tread blocks are... Umm missing. They were maybe a little abused at calabogie

I think I'll pass. As close to bald as my tires are, and as nice as it would be to pick up a used set for free. Its a minor hassle for me to pick them up, mount them, all for about %50 tread. Plus I really want new slightly wider tires.
