You need a working tune for those injectors. Don't worry about anything else yet.

Yes. The new tune is for the ID 1050x

An error must have occurred or I did something wrong. I’m getting a error stating that the ECU VIN () does not match ROM VIN

do you have Brz /gt86 ECU with your swap motor?
if not, then this is entirelly useless as it s not same tune and same logic and same injection splitting
this car, if the tuner doesn t put active work into it to make it stable, gives idle problems with big injectors

there is a brief moment when warm specially, that the car will idle for some seconda only with PI but car is warm and low idle speed so the big injectors struggle to mantain afr since they d have to inject a very small amount of fuel and they are not able to provide it nicely because it s out of their linearity range

No, but I also ran ID1050X when my car was FA20 on stock BRZ ECU with Ecutek and it idled like stock and did not have an issue starting hot either.

Or do they have more than one person making the tunes now?

They should be familiar with it. SO familiar that maybe they've grown used to generic latency and adjustment settings? I'm sure they do great, but everyone makes mistakes.

So EcuTek said that whoever did the previous tune (I don’t have a way to contact the previous owner) deleted the VIN from the ECU.

How do you go about putting that information back on to the ECU? Can a dealership do that, or can I take it to any shop that has a scan tool?

then it was good tuned... i m not saying it s impossible, i always tuned them good too
i was just saying that it's kind of easy to have them behave bad on warm start in this car, and i ve seen it more than a couple of times with that particularly tuner he went to

Anyone have have or know where I can get a key for techstream v18? Cant find anything online.

I also need the MCI for TOYOTA TIS driver. Everything I found online had dead links or they were flagged by anti virus.
A disk came with my mini vci cable I ordered, but of course I don’t have a CD Rom drive on my PC

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to get this VIN programmed in so I can flash my tune!

Problem has been solved. Thanks for the guidance.

Ordered a mini vci and got techstream to work on my tablet.

Was able to write the VIN to the ECU and then flash the tune.
