And if you want wierd MT bite point, a Scion iM had the highest bite point i ever felt in a stick. it was super weird, you have a bite point pretty early in the pedal travel a shitton of dead travel afterwards lol.

I ordered a Corolla GR in February, no sign of the delivery yet. As I'm waiting, I'm getting worried to trade my FR-S 2015 with less than 50K km for it. I still new to me! It's such a beautiful car, so different than others on the road. The shape without spoiler is so hot, so simple and pure. Nothing like 2022+ 86... I'm only jalous of the 2.4 engine as the 2015 lack 30hp +. It's the main reason I will get rid of it.

As I live in Quebec City, Canada and we get around 120 inches of snow (yes you read right, almost 200 inches in 2008!)so I need a 4wd car. My Subaru Legacy GT 2005 as done good job but it's getting old! The price of used WRX here are so high right now! New WRX are ***** ugly no way I'm buying that! Wrx 2-3 years old with 50k m are around 32k CAD.I prefer to order a car and wait.

So the plan is to sell both cars for the GRC and in a few years buy an 86 for the summer... Even if it will not be as good looking as my FR-S now!

I actually watched a few videos on doing that over winter. I know I got down in the foot well at one point to take a look. In the fall I had adjusted the WRX's bite point to get it off the floor (after driving the 86 made me realize how bad WRX's was) and it was the same process, just going a different direction. Fast forward to spring. I spent 3-4 months driving the GRC and now pulling the 86 out of the garage, its bite point felt perfect. Now I'm trying to recall - did I actually adjust it? Or am I just used to proper bite point now?? Still not sure if maybe I tackled it in my sleep or something.

Stock clutch pedal position is somewhat higher than the brake pedal. Recommended adjustment is inline with brake pedal or very slightly below it.

In urban settings I would say the power of the GR Corolla feels tame and sufficient. If you’re shifting at, say 4000 rpm around town, you do get a quick bout of the turbo (and the lovely sounds).

I’d say it’s better in urban settings than cruising on the highway. I felt I had to shift to 4th gear to pass on the highway.

If you like punching it around the corner, the GR Corolla can make that pretty fun. In the GR86 you have the RWD rotation which is fun, whereas with the GRC you can feel the torque and grip working to push the car into slight understeer. Honestly fighting the understeer in those scenarios was exciting especially since that’s right where the boost was kicking in. Basically with the grip of the GRC you can be more liberal applying throttle through a turn so you’ll really feel it punch through.

I questioned myself if that was the kind of fun I wanted in a car, and I decided I still like the character of RWD.
