Yep, nothing better than a paid for house. Going on my sixth year with no mortgage payment. I would definitely struggle to go back.

Not something I will ever know since I will indeed be dead before mine is paid off. Not as bad as it sounds though since the payments are peanuts compared to what even the cheapest rent is around here these days.

I'm putting it on the market when my tenant's lease is up in October. I'll pay the whole damned thing off then.

a co-worker has a daughter that sold the exact same floor plan in my neighborhood back in November or December. she had it listed for barley a week when she got an offer for $5K over asking price. so I'm hoping for a quick sale.

I don't plan on doing anything until after then anyways. but the temptation is a biotch.

I 100% agree, though its only been a few months of having mine paid off. It feels great! (And my roof started leaking in my living room last week, but hey its mine!)

Mortgage?

I've been thinking about a reverse mortgage. Why? Because I don't want to leave my kids anything to fight over.
