I def get what you mean... but atm, my brain don’t want to agree. I’ll get over it, just not right now.

Mask it off, scuff with a grey scotchbrite or 600-800 grit and hit is with some SEM's trim black if your want the raw, black, satin plastic look. >?

I can def hit w 600-800 grits... but here’s the problem. They have specific texture on that. Blast through that will take off that texture. Best way is just buy new side skirts. It’s not crazy expensive, so buy new, get it painted by different shop, install it. If I’m looking at optimistic

They have a solution for that, you can even drop down to a lower grit if your going want the texture back. https://www.semproducts.com/product/...oating/coating

Well now, ichitaka05, it appears you have some stuff stacking up on you and maybe the paint job on your car just pushed you a bit too far.

Things like:

* wife being pregnant - your anxiety about fatherhood - her mood swings

* remodeling - your house all torn up - her nest all torn up

* COVID - and all that goes along with it for both of you

* work challenges

* country in political turmoil

* not having your car in tip top shape

Any one of those things can be stressful and the number of them that adds to the list increases the stress exponentially (or so it seems).

What to do? You have already thought of the solution to bring the stress level back to a manageable level - "buy new side skirts. It’s not crazy expensive, so buy new, get it painted by different shop, install it", - just DO IT.

OR

Try the humfrz method -

That sucks itchi, to be honest I don't think I would have handled it as well as you are. It is not easy to accept someone else's fuck up when you paid for the job.

Some of you guys have PM me checkin on me. Thanks! I’m fine. I’ve been a bit dramatic on this situation. Here’s a quick pic of my car. I’ll prob do quick rant at member journal later when I got time to take a photo. Overall it looks good... just don’t look too close, cuz you can see the imperfection.

I always forget your car is also DGM. I think it looks good.

My car looks like a salvage title car some kid at autozone owns. I have no less then 30 door dings, huge front bumper gap, missing side markers.....
