Hah maybe - also just driven by collectors with tons of money. I don't get it either. Don't get me wrong - was one of my all time favorite cars to drive, a little fussy to own but not too bad. Really lovely sounds, visceral driving experience, and that door 'thunk'.... but for those prices I could have a lightly used McLaren 570s or similar.

I think we can both agree that the Ferrari is more refined than the NSX (though “manliness” is up for debate ). But because of that, the F430 lost some of the rawness that I feel in the NSX and I personally enjoy it more because of that.

I like the fixed headlight version. Still a great looking car.

Traded in the BRZ for a 10-year-old Toyota powered British car. What could possibly go wrong?

(taking delivery, being like )

Hilarios fun those things, thing changes direction like a cartoon car. Lack of rear visibility in these things is ridiculous

You purchased one of the purest driving cars ever made. Congrats! It seems like a well-matched choice if you had both an RSX (I'm guessing a Type S) and 86, given both also prioritize the driving experience. Even two decades later, the styling still looks absolutely gorgeous.

Is this your daily driver?

On an observational side note, I find it impressively interesting how so many of the cars being discussed in this thread all have one thing in common in the sense that the emphasis on the driving itself is very pronounced. These cars are built specifically for people who like to drive, and who want a car that is the polar opposite of the 'detached' experience that many more mainstream cars strive to achieve. It kind of highlights how the 86/BRZ is a car that appeals to a very specific driver looking for a very specific experience that largely revolves around driver engagement.

This is the first time I can afford a daily driver + a weekend toy.
I DD a '18 Toyota CH-R (don't ask..).

The feedback this car provides is beyond words. It feels like every single gravel or dead leaf is reported back to the driver.
