I went through all of the steps to install version 8. When I try to connect to the vehicle, Techstream asks for an activation key. Not sure what I am missing. TIA

I was super frustrated. I had a working version of Tech Stream on an old Windows 8 laptop that I kept in my garage, but a water leak ruined that laptop. So I needed to get Tech Stream working on a 64 bit Windows 10 system and I was having issues after following all the steps in all the different places. I tried different versions, but I think I discovered a few things and I apologize if I'm repeating anything any one has already said.

There are some Mini-VCI cables that might only work on 32-bit systems, and/or, may not work on versions over v.13.

I found this video ()
reached out to the gentleman, Dr. Val,who shared the files and got it installed on my PC and was able to connect to the car. I don't want to share the files as I think credit is due to Dr. Val.

If you need a working version, do this!

Have you tried writing TPMS codes to the ECU with this version?

you won't do TPMS with cheap $25 cable.
need vcx nano or other cable.
