Their older diesels are dirt simple though. Fuel shutoff solenoid and a starter relay is all they need to run. This reminds me, I have a entire truck to rewire from scratch

Yep many of those old engines are pretty much problem free even after all these years no matter what make.

I have no clue about Mercedes engines of any year so thought I would look up any common issues.

The first site I came across is a classic example of why people really REALLY need to know what they are looking at when searching the web.
Count how many issues there are in the description of what could be wrong with your 1956 Mercedes (ignore the Gullwing coupe part)!

Welp... sounds like my previous boss is getting disciplinary action from how shit went down for my transfer. Why they did this? Cuz this shit wasn't suppose to go the way it should be. I feel like it wasn't only her fault, even though MAJOR part was her fault. Feels like Admins & HR are blaming everything on her.

Either way, I gotta type up an report and send it to HR on the meeting between me & my old boss.

Fun never ends at my work... SMH

That sucks, never fun to deal with that.

I am thinking of throwing in the towel at work. They are asking me to essentially do 3 full time jobs, the end result is I can't get anything done and I just end up more and more backed up.

As I continue to work longer in adult life (I guess?), I keep seeing that management, especially upper management, is really shit at management. I'm sure some managers are fantastic, but it's really incredible how awful they can be in my experience. There's always stupid stuff like this that blows up what should really be a non-issue. It's almost always down to office politics, too.

I feel you. My previous department I was doing 3 full time staff work. I knew I was able to do it... wage wasn't great, but I liked my coworkers (most of em) and enjoyed working there, so I did it.

New department, they're making me takeover 2 other staff's responsibility. Which btw is WAY higher pay grade than me. I'm like, if I gotta take over their responsibilities, I need to get equal pay as them. HR manager feels that's not the case. BUT thankfully my new boss is typing up to reclass me position (hopefully for wage increase)... which that reminds me that, I gotta update my resume and send it to my new boss.

Yup, pretty much. It's really hard to find a great leaders/managers to work under. Cuz most of the time that company is in the different field than you or that leader/manager get screwed and leave the company quickly.

@Ultramaroon for the SodaStream, have you ever tried carbonating non-water? Like iced tea (just liquid, no tea leaf bits or anything in there). I know it'll "break warranty blah blah blah and can mess up the nozzle" (maybe due to sugars gunking it up?) but kinda curious. There's this tea I like and it'd be nice to carbonate it. But I'm also assuming the amount of CO2 spray output by the nozzle is calibrated for water's density and stuff, not other liquids.

Well, guess I'm not asking her out this week like I was going to .

I suggest you prioritize the list of tasks that have to be done within a certain time period. Then draw a line through the list at the place that it's possible for you to accomplish with your current resources.

Then present this to your boss and ask him to either remove the tasks below that line OR give (allocate) to you, the resources (staff - equipment) money (to farm out work).

Now, the monkey is on your bosses back, where it belongs.
