I don't know man, but the original report like this I read was from a company called blue fuels (witch I cant find anymore lol) and it was in french. But they were basically saying that to eliminate the need to use high energy sources to make the fuel, they instead connected the water tanks to the exhaust of a cement factory to ``boost`` the photosynthesis effect, this way it would cost very little energy and take very little time to make both fossil fuels and omega 3. Another by product of this was that it ``cleaned`` the exhaust fumes at the same time.

I don't know how good it is or isn't!
But just the tough of having locally made fuel, that anyone can make (witch means competition, witch means competitive pricing and less traveling to get to the pump) sounds like a plan that's both good for the consumer and the environment!

Somewhere, reading about that, I read about someone recommending to add a capfull of synthetic 2-stroke oil into every tankfull of gas.

I wonder if doing this might lube up the pump on our cars and cure the chirping crickets?

might be worth a try, it certainly won't hurt anything.

I think it's Blendzall that is a castor based octane booster that might kill 2 birds with one stone.
I've been reading about the benefits of adding 2-stroke oil for some time now. I've read that adding 1 oz/5 gallons of gas can quiet an engine and improve starts but it has to be TC-W3 oil. Wonder if it can cure the crickets.

Dealer tech recommended a HPFP change as he has done 5 of them and has not had anyone come back with the chirping problem. New fuel pump ordered, we'll see what happens. I'm only going to go for the replacement process once.
I also did the same, I reported the chirping with my dealership and told them I did NOT want a replacement pump right now citing other owners having the chirp come back. However, the master technician insisted all the pumps they've replaced have not had chirping come back thus far, and that they had a pump in stock and wanted to replace for me. Oh well, might as well give it a shot.

**Update**
Replacement fuel pump installed- went the rest of today driving about 50 miles and no crickets. Will keep posted

Yes. Several. Why wouldn't there be? These cars all have the same HPFP, there is no magic pump out there.

Honestly, the crickets I get are not too bad 90% of the time. Even if I have the car running in my garage with the radio off and windows down.

Gives the car character.

My experiment with the Lucas Oil Ethanol Fuel Conditioner was unsuccessful. The crickets were gone for 3 days. Now they're back. Even though it does seem that the crickets are little quieter, it's not quiet enough to justify buying another bottle.

I noticed the same thing today. Granted I didn't drive a whole lot, but the same drive home from work on a hot day results in the chirp.

Had mine replaced with one of the "new" ones last Thursday as well. After using up the last half tank of no ethanol gas, I filled up with 93 oct Shell VPower (which caused bad chirping before) 75-100 miles or so and no chirps yet. I guess only time will tell at this point.

Just checked the service invoice again, and besides the fuel pump replacement parts and service list there was a no charge "Miscellaneous Fuel System - Repair" line item as well. Not sure what it was for . Didn't have time to check as I got a call while I was picking up the car about an issue I had to go back to work and deal with. Will have to ask them next time I go in for an oil change.
