Well guys i visited my car at the dealer yesterday its so sad seeing her in that state. Official statement from the tech was that the car ran lean, and too much heat caused piston #2 to fail and the piston ring shot up the valve. Heat is generated because of a lack of fuel, advancing timing and running lean can cause this. Thank god for an awesome warranty from toyota, dont think i will be running a Tune at least until the issues are resolved.

Beatsonic. You can find cheaper ones, but their customer service is really outstanding. Had me on the phone with their engineers in Japan. It was great, up until I started effecting an engrish accent. Lol

I am wanting to do my first oil change at 3K and I hear the ones out there with BRZ's are being able to get them at their dealership because their manuals say its recommended at 3K or something? Any truth in that? Because I have heard Toyota/Scion giving people trouble unless its 5K or 7.5K. Anyone have some ramps I can borrow, coming up on 3K pretty soon myself?

Only two gripes about this thing after using it for a day or two.
1.) I really wish it had grid-lines. Beatsonic said they didn't include them because the camera is used in multiple applications, and so the grid-lines wouldn't match due to different vehicle heights. Sucks, but I understand. Gonna see what I can do wizardry wise to make some anyways. And it's really only the vertical ones I want, since when you use the bumper's edge as your "stopping point" (level with the horizontal and vertical intersection at a wall for example), it gives you ~6" from the horizontal plane of the tail end of your bumper and a wall. 2.) Not really a gripe about the camera, but when using a MounTek CD-Slot Phone-Holder, it really makes it inconvenient to utilize the screen when approaching and lining up your parking. However, once you're in the parking "slot", it's not difficult because you can see the lower 2/3s. Guess I'll have to find a better solution for a phone holder (which is a shame, because I LOVED the MounTek). |

The BRZ navigation has the gridlines built into the unit, so I should be ok. |

Ok I know there is the cool bro Got3n who is getting a header installed this weekend by the good folks @ Dynotronics.
We need to get some video of it on the dyno, so we know what it sounds like and how much power it puts down. Nobody out there has done this yet. It's going to be epic! I am seriously considering this header if all goes well that's if I stay NA.... |

Not doing it this weekend, Thursday while at work I got a call, the washing mashing went BOOM, replacing that this weekend, so there went my $800 :-/. I wouldn't mind letting joe use my car as a Dyno monkey for the headers though.

How much did everyone pay in "extra" fees such as dealer documentation fees, etc.?
Soon to be proud owner of BRZ here. Just wanted to see what dealers in the area were charging.... |
