Reinstalled the old module. I am successfully back to square one. Which is good because I have an event this weekend. Pedal dance still not working, but 5sec hold works, so we'll be ok.
Again, any help or suggestions would be great. |

Do you have an ODBII reader that can pull / reset codes from the ABS module?
IIRC, when I upgraded mine ABS module there were codes already in the ABS module and resetting them did the trick. See comment 131. |

Don't understand what os the issue. The unit is from 2019 brz but it acts like i didnt repin the connector. The white speed sensor pin is from the vsc to the ecu? As an input to the ecu? Last edited by amirnew; 01-03-2023 at 10:59 PM. |

No idea, but it'd be nice if the ABS was less intrusive since it'd have been calibrated for a PS4 rather than a Prius tire.

Hate to break it to you, but the second gen still comes with "Prius tires" and the same unit is used on the premium and limited.

Probably. I'm not sure if the ABS CAL ID is listed on the outside, or pulled by interfacing to the car. The Subaru parts diagram lists the same ABS unit for both trims.

I was just hoping we'd be in a similar situation to MK60/MK60E1/MK60E5/MK100 where you can code the unit to different parameters that intervene less.

When I test drove a '22 BRZ I found the stability and traction controls to be less intrusive when fully on - 1st to 2nd high RPM upshift chirped the wheels (would bog down my '18) and it allowed a nice amount of rear slip coming out of a stop sign and turning left (would feel brake intervention in my '18). I only drove with stability and traction fully on, so not sure if there is a different tuning in Track Mode.
But if your goal is just to have a "fully off" mode the 17+ is good enough, AFAIU. |

I have the STi unit, and it's calibrated different than my previous 2019 version. ABS is less intrusive, ESP the same. My opinion it's calibrated for 18 inches rims, so I think the GR86 has a similar behaviour.
I'm tempted to try the JDM G type (same as the JDM 86 GR). this looks more track oriented than the others. |

I am assuming Brembo calibration is less intrusive too.
